Our Music

We perform traditional Catholic hymns in both English and Latin. We sing both unison and 3- or 4- part hymns.

Our Repertoire

As a traditional Latin Mass choir, our repertoire consists of many familiar Catholic hymns, and includes Marian hymns such as Immaculate Mary, Hail Holy Queen Enthroned Above, Hail Queen of Heav'n, Salve Regina, Ave Maria, and other classics such as Holy God We Praise Thy Name, Faith of Our Fathers, etc.

We are familiar with several chant Masses, including Mass of the Angels, Mass of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mass XVII, and Mass XI. We also have a three-part Mass, Missa Caritas by William Marsh, in our repertoire, which is sung for special liturgical seasons. We are working on adding the Byrd Mass for Three Voices to our repertoire as well.

We have a schola that is in charge of a cappella plainchants for the Propers, which includes the Sequences on special feast days. All members of the choir participate in chanting or singing the Ordinary of the Mass.

We are always learning new hymns to different saints and for special feast days, and are constantly expanding our repertoire of 3- and 4-part Communion hymns.

During the Mass, we often sing both a cappella and with organ accompaniment. Unison hymns are usually sung with the organ, and we have hymnals for the congregation to use during Mass for those hymns as well.

We recently started a YouTube channel! So far we have our COVID-19 "virtual choir" recording on the Stabat Mater online. Subscribe to stay up to date with any new recordings.

Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus is one of our favourite Communion hymns. Its beautiful simplicity never goes out of style. We sing this same arrangement.

We have an arrangement of  Schubert's Ave Maria in 4-part harmony, which we generally reserve for special feasts of Our Lady.
